About Bring-A-Book
Many children around the world have never had a book of their own. With the help of people like you, inspired by the desire to increase literacy world-wide, GLOBIO’s Bring-A-Book is changing the future for children around the world. Change starts with world travelers deciding to make the small effort of packing a book with them on a trip. This simple act can make a big difference in the life of a child. Bring-A-Book has already helped deliver thousands of books to children in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Botswana, China and Zambia. Change is that simple!
The BAB project is now growing to include delivery of books to children in India and Ecuador. Your support of Bring-A-Book hands a child the first book they have ever owned, putting the world within their grasp.

Our focus is on books because they are vital tools in life-long learning. Bring-A-Book makes the process of gift-giving one of the most rewarding parts of travel and one of the best opportunities to engage with the locals. It is often tempting to bring “fun gifts” from your culture to share with children, which are often not as rewarding or sustainable as they are intended and sometimes viewed locally as unsuitable or inappropriate.
